Successful candidates will have the opportunity to make an important contribution to shaping electric mobility in Luxembourg. Therefore, candidates will be - among other research activities - working together in a research project with the foundation of Enovos Luxembourg S.A., the major energy supplier in Luxembourg. The topic of the project is “Incentivized Charging Scheduling for Electrical Vehicles” and it concerns the development of an EV charging scheduling system which is attractive to end users, fits into energy suppliers’ market strategies, and maximizes the benefits of all involved parties without overloading the energy grid infrastructure. The project is held in context of a collaboration with the technical committee of the Enovos Foundation. Next to these activities, successful candidates will carry out research in the context of Prof. Fridgen’s PayPal-FNR PEAL Research Grant with the topic digitalization of energy systems. You will be required to perform the following tasks: Carrying out research in the predefined areas Survey the scientific literature in the relevant research domains Conduct surveys and interviews with various stakeholders in the field of electric mobility Disseminating results through scientific publications Communicate with the partner to collect requirements and report results Your Profile What we’re looking for: The interest and desire to work in interdisciplinary teams A desire to deliver the best solutions in the highest quality The ability to work in a team, motivation, self-initiative, flexibility, and willingness to work Sound analytical skills Solution-oriented working habits The willingness to assume responsibility An excellent degree Interest for the field of sustainability and solution approaches in respective contexts (e.g. E-Mobility) Experience: The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and/or experience in a number of the following topics: Knowledge in empirical research Experience in conducting and evaluating surveys and interviews Knowledge in the development of tariffs and pricing schemes Ideally knowledge in the development of customer journeys and the design of nudging and gamification mechanisms Ideally knowledge in electric mobility and customer behaviour The ideal candidate should furthermore have a strong interest in Digitalization and Electric Mobility. Skills in related domains (e.g. energy markets) will be appreciated. Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required. Knowledge of either French, German or Luxembourgish is desirable. Qualification : The candidate should possess an MSc degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Business Administration, (Managerial) Economics, Industrial Engineering, or business psychology.
