Duties: UCL Careers is seeking to appoint a full time maternity cover Internships and Vacancies Officer (Global); The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery of UCLs Internships schemes. Emphasis will be given to the support of internships on a global scale, however, the post holder will be expected to contribute to the overall coordination and delivery of internships within UCL Careers. The role holder will work under the guidance of the Internship Programmes Manager, collaboratively with other Internship & Vacancies staff, and the wider UCL Careers team. They will have the relationship building, communication and organisational skills to provide information to, and generate opportunities with employers, liaising with them to check that opportunities meet standard criteria
Requirements: The post holder will actively contribute to sourcing internships, identify market trends, market these opportunities to students and shortlist applications. An interest in employer engagement and careers services within HE is highly desirable. The ideal candidate for this role would have experience of communicating and building relationships with a range of audiences and will have excellent organizational skills with an ability to adapt to changing priorities. The candidate will have the confidence to proactively approach clients and the tenacity and drive to work towards targets
