Position: Assistant Professor in Statistical Genetics

Duties: The research focus may include theoretical, computational, and applied approaches to quantitative genetics, population genetics, mixed model methodology, and genetic evaluation and selection. The successful candidate will use genetic statistical analyses to improve our understanding of domestic animal biology and its practical application for improving animal production, well-being, and interaction with humans and the environment. Research will focus on development and use of statistical and bioinformatics tools to characterize the structure and function of animal genomes, improve association studies and enhance genetic prediction
Requirements: A doctorate (foreign equivalent acceptable) in animal breeding, quantitative genetics, biostatistics, or a closely related discipline is required
