Additionally, it is expected that the successful candidate will contribute to an environment of professionalism and collaboration within the teacher education programs and the College. Qualifications Required: Earned doctorate in Mathematics Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field from an accredited college or university Evidence of at least 3 years of successful P-5 mathematics teaching experience Experiences with diverse school populations and culturally responsive curriculum and pedagogy Strong potential for scholarly productivity and a defined research agenda Superior interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills Ability to support a culture of collaboration, inclusion, equity, and diversity Preferred: Evidence of successful university-level teaching Evidence of an additional area of experience or expertise (i.e., ESOL, literacy, or science education) Experience participating in assessment efforts and continuous improvement at the program and unit levels in either P-5 or university settings Strong evidence of scholarly productivity in elementary mathematics education or a related area Potential to obtain federal, state and/or private grants and contracts and manage funded projects Facility in the use of technology to develop and deliver online synchronous and asynchronous instruction The successful candidate must have qualifications and credentials commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor.
