Duties: Working with our project partner „Dachverband der Österreichischen Sozialversicherung” we are developing and testing strategies to improve both patient outcomes and prescription efficiency. The objective is to develop new approaches that we will describe in scientific publications that are also widely applicable for future use within the Austrian health system. Thus, as well as working with our project partner team, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside two other postdoctoral researchers and four PhD students
Requirements: PhD in either statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, data science, or life sciences, completed within the last five years; Programming skills in C++ are a necessity; High-level understanding of statistics; A proven-track record with publications in well-respected venues; Previous experience in a data scientist/analyst role; Fluency in both written and spoken English

The Medical Genomics Group of Matthew Robinson (https://ist.ac.at/en/research/robinsongroup/) focuses on developing statistical methods for large-scale electronic health record and medical genomics data. Here, we offer two data scientist/analyst positions at a post-PhD level, developing statistical methods and algorithms to identify signals of drug-drug interactions, to compare different pharmacotherapies, and to build a nation-wide prescription monitoring scheme all within real-world electronic prescription records of millions of people with many years of longitudinal data. Working with our project partner „Dachverband der Österreichischen Sozialversicherung” we are developing and testing strategies to improve both patient outcomes and prescription efficiency.
