Duties: The UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH) is, with its clinical partner Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Europes leading centre for child health research and education; The Research Grants team administers the Institutes almost 600 research projects and ensures appropriate accounting treatment of the £31 million generated per annum by these projects. The grants team deals with all aspects of administration of research grants and contracts across a wide spectrum of funders; The post holder will work as part of a department facing team
Requirements: Applicants should show excellent customer service across all levels of the organisation with good oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail; A positive outlook, ability to work to clear deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential in this role. A high level of numeracy and proven effective services in a busy office environment are desirable in the post holder

The Research Grants team administers the Institutes almost 600 research projects and ensures appropriate accounting treatment of the £31 million generated per annum by these projects. The grants team deals with all aspects of administration of research grants and contracts across a wide spectrum of funders. The post holder will work as part of a department facing team. The post will provide high quality support and advice to ICH researchers and department administrators in relation to the preparation of costings and applications to external funding bodies. The post holder will also ensure that the final submission of research costings are in line with UCL & ICHs agreed policies and procedures and funding body terms and conditions, and be responsible for coordinating the set-up of grant awards if applications are successful.
