Duties: UCL is seeking to appoint a Dean for the Faculty of Population Health Sciences to succeed Professor Graham Hart, who has led the Faculty since its inception in 2011. Professor Hart is stepping down from the role but will remain at UCL to support the development of the Health of the Public initiative. Covid 19 has raised - amongst other things - the profile and importance of epidemiological studies, health data, clinical trials, infection and health system management worldwide
Requirements: The successful candidate will have an academic reputation of the highest international standing and an outstanding track record, together with experience of academic management and strategic planning. Candidates will have demonstrable leadership qualities with the ability to articulate a clear vision for the future of the Faculty. Significant leadership in an academic context is a requirement for the role. The Faculty currently has over 1600 academic, research and professional services staff, 1400 undergraduate, masters and PhD students, and in 2019/20 had a turnover of £164.6m.
