Duties: To carry out research and teaching with a focus on the areas set out above and academic related enabling within the Department. To teach at graduate and undergraduate level in publishing-related areas allocated by the Head of Department and reviewed from time to time by the Head of Department, carry out research, including producing publications and applying for external funding, in line with personal objectives agreed in the Staff Appraisal process; Supervise or assist with supervision of taught graduate (MA/MSc) and research graduate (MPhil/PhD) students and undergraduate dissertations, contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum. Assist in the development of learning materials, for both remote and face-to-face delivery, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance
Requirements: We are seeking an innovative researcher to appoint to a full-time lectureship beginning in April 2021 who can teach and research in the broad field of the publishing industry and book culture; We are particularly interested in applicants who could contribute to ongoing or new research in one or more of the following areas within the field of publishing studies: Digitisation and digital publication, Consumer analytics and insight, Book production and design, Globalisation and small nation cultural production, Publishing and book history, Translation studies, Book cultures and related areas. The initial teaching focus will be on Masters level teaching, within the MA in Publishing
