Text: Teaching and Learning Administrator, - Ref:1874187 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division Anthropology Location of position London Grade 6 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) £29,152 - £34,153 per annum Duties and Responsibilities The Department of Anthropology at UCL is a research-led department with an international reputation, offering innovative teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In recent years the department has launched a number of innovative industry-led postgraduate programmes in diverse areas of documentary film making, broadcast, virtual reality and creative enterprise. This activity sits within the Public Anthropology section of the department, and due to the rapid growth of this activity we are now looking for a dedicated Teaching and Learning Administrator to support the students and the programmes. The postholder will work closely with the Section Head, Centre Manager and the Teaching and Learning Manager. This is a new post and a truly exciting opportunity for someone to support the growth of Public Anthropology and work with an eclectic group of academics, film makers, editors and technicians. One of the challenges of this role derives from delivering practice-based, vocationally-oriented teaching programmes within an overarching academic, text-based teaching and assessment framework. The successful candidate will not only be an excellent administrator but be willing and able to creatively engage with these challenges. The postholder will provide specialist administration to the designated teaching programmes, ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of its administration. This post will assist in achieving a high-quality and timely service to current and prospective students, and staff relating to the designated courses and beyond.
