Position: System/Appli­ca­tion Admi­nis­trator (Linux) (f/​m/d)

Duties: As a member of our development team: You will be working on a Linux environment. The priorities are process automation, up-time, robustness and optimization of the system including development of new services and features; You will be involved in all aspects of system administration including system maintenance, mana­ging license servers, IT-services for our employees and other daily busi­ness; You will actively support the scientists in our research teams by setting up the HPC infrastructure and implementing easy-to-use and highly performant access to (open source) research and development frameworks; Instal­la­tion, confi­gu­ra­tion, moni­to­ring and manage­ment of company-wide CPU and GPU-based HPC systems, NAS, etc.); Colla­bo­rate with other team members and scientist teams to develop auto­ma­tion stra­te­gies and deploy­ment processes; Tech­nical support during instal­la­tion and use of re­search soft­ware (Tensorflow, Keras, PyCharm, Conda, Gitlab, EDA-Tools)
Requirements: Previous working expe­ri­ence as a Linux Admi­nis­trator; Fami­li­a­rity with server virtua­liza­tion and NAS&SAN manage­ment and concepts; Solid know­ledge of proto­cols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, Kerberos, SMTP, certi­fi­cates and SNMP; Expert in Shell, Perl, and/​or Python scrip­ting; Virtualization (Xen, Docker, Kubernetes, ESXi); Linux server administration (ZFS, NFS, Postfix, Debian-Packages, Backup); Network configuration and security; Automated server setup and software deployment; Monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana); Strong problem solving and commu­ni­ca­tion skills; Preferred educa­tion Uni/​FH with Elec­tro­nics focus or HTL with at least 5 years of expe­ri­ence
