Position: Research Engineer (m/f/d) Hydrogen Technologies

Duties: As part of our new Competence Unit Energy Conversion & Hydrogen (ECH) you will work on the sustainable production, storage and use of hydrogen; You will develop innovative concepts/hydrogen reactors using current and future electrolysis technologies such as PEM/AEM or solid oxide; You will be responsible for the development of new, innovative test set-ups or analytical methods; You will conduct research on the latest state of the art and ensure that top-notch technologies are applied in our projects; You will develop and coordinate joint research topics with our strategic research and industry partners; You will manage research projects and implement them according to the highest scientific standards. Naturally, this is combined with corresponding lecture and publication activities
Requirements: Completed studies (MSc or preferably PhD) in the field of process engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering or similar; Experience in the synthesis and characterization of heterogeneous catalysts; Knowledge in the field of chemical reaction engineering, especially heterogeneous catalysis; Knowledge in acquisition of funded projects and project management is advantageous; High level of commitment and team spirit; Very good English skills both in spoken and written

Our Center for Energy is seeking to hire new Ingenious Partners for our location in Vienna: Research Engineer (m/f/d) Hydrogen Technologies Center for Energy In order to combat climate change and to optimally protect the environment, the energy system needs a safe and sustainable transformation - within this development, hydrogen and synthetic gases are promising energy carriers. Our research team is working on sustainable and efficient technologies for the production of renewable energy, green hydrogen or synthetic gases to decarbonize the energy infrastructure, heavy industry and the mobility sector. As part of our new Competence Unit Energy Conversion & Hydrogen (ECH) you will work on the sustainable production, storage and use of hydrogen. You will develop innovative concepts / hydrogen reactors using current and future electrolysis technologies such as PEM/ AEM or solid oxide. You will be responsible for the development of new, innovative test set-ups or analytical methods. You will conduct research on the latest state of the art and ensure that top-notch technologies are applied in our projects. You will develop and coordinate joint research topics with our strategic research and industry partners. You will manage research projects and implement them according to the highest scientific standards. Naturally, this is combined with corresponding lecture and publication activities. You will successfully implement your solutions, methods and concepts in close cooperation with industry partners and contribute significantly to the extended use of hydrogen for the decarbonization of energy infrastructure, heavy industry and the mobility sector. You will support industrial research partners and work in national and international projects. You will actively contribute your knowledge to the research team and take over responsibility in projects and topics.
