Duties: The post-holder will work on the NIDUS Study and APPLE-Tree Study, to test the effectiveness of three newly developed interventions (NIDUS-family, NIDUS-professional and Apple Tree). NIDUS-family aims to enable people living with dementia to maintain their independence, and live a quality life at home, by providing support to them and their family carer; NIDUS-professional is a training and supervision intervention for home care staff working with people living with dementia and their family carers; The successful applicant will work closely with the programme managers and research assistants at UCL. They will liaise with professionals working in memory clinics, GP practices and home care agencies, conduct site initiation presentations and recruit and assess people living with dementia, family carers, home care staff and people eligible for the Apple Tree groups; Duration of the post is funded from 1st January 2021 until 30th September 2021 in the first instance
Requirements: The successful postholder will have experience of working with dementia/mental health problems and/or their family carers, and will have experience of recruiting participants to research studies; Strong time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines is essential. The postholder will also need to possess the awareness of the importance of confidentiality and have excellent communication skills
