Duties: The successful candidate will s upport clinicians, health and social care professionals and academics to develop research proposals and grant applications for applied health and social care funding within the new health research system set out in the document Best Research for Best Health; Provide a service to applied health and social care researchers who require support, provide methodological advice and support along with targeted training/mentorship tailored to the needs of NHS and social care staff, clinical researchers and Londoners; Duration of the post is funded until 30 November 2022 in the first instance
Requirements: Candidates should be familiar with research and academic environments, have experience in project management, the evaluation of complex interventions (Randomised Controlled Trials, feasibility, pilot or Implementation studies) in applied health research and have exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills; The successful candidate will have a PhD (or be within three months of submission) or equivalent research experience, have research management experience, and be passionate about improving care for people through high quality research

Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at research assistant Grade 6B (salary £31,542 - £33,257 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
