Duties: The Development Planning Unit (DPU), UCL, is an international centre specialising in academic teaching, practical training, research and consultancy in the field of national, metropolitan and regional development and planning. It is concerned with promoting sustainable forms of development, understanding rapid urbanisation and encouraging innovation policy, planning and management responses to the economic, social and environmental development of cities and regions, especially in Asia, Africa and Latin America
Requirements: The successful candidate should have a PhD or established research experience in a relevant field of research; Demonstrate sound knowledge of the relevant literature covered by the MSc SDP program; Experience of doing research in developing countries and/or experience of working in developing countries, related to the issues covered by the MSc SDP; Experience of lecturing and/or providing tutorial support at postgraduate level

It is concerned with promoting sustainable forms of development, understanding rapid urbanisation and encouraging innovation policy, planning and management responses to the economic, social and environmental development of cities and regions, especially in Asia, Africa and Latin America The Development Planning Unit, University College London, wishes to appoint a part time Lecturer (Teaching) to run 9 units, which is the second term of a two term module on Social Policy and Citizenship. The sessions will run between January and mid-March, with marking of one 3,000 word course work paper for each student by April. The appointment will be made on the UCL Lecturer (Teaching) scheme and will be paid on salary grade 8 points 37-43 (10% FTE) depending on qualifications and experience. The post is fixed term 12 month contract to cover sabbatical leave. Teaching to take place from January 2021-March 2021.
