Duties: A Research Fellow is required to work on the Learning from small cities: Governing imagined futures and the dynamics of change in Indias smart urban age project funded by the ESRC Urban Transformations Programme in the UK; They will work as part of an international research team investigating the transformation of three small cities into smart cities. With expertise in urban geography and critical GIS in the global south, the post holder will be responsible for contributing research assistance, in particular the analysis and representation of research data in geospatial platforms and through other creative formats
Requirements: The successful candidate will hold a PhD awarded in Human Geography with specialisation in critical GIS. It is also essential that they are able to demonstrate an understanding of social research methods (including participatory methods) as well as fluency in a range of critical GIS methods including GIS Storymapping
