Duties: The Digital Education team supports a range of learning platforms, design services, and educational developments at UCL, and has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join us in the role of Online Learning Advisor; The post holder will lead digital education support for UCLs online learning provision across programmes, modules, and short courses. They will manage key platforms to enable institutional delivery of online learning, provide expert guidance on use of digital education tools and platforms, and promote effective pedagogic practice and design principles for online courses; They will work in partnership with staff from Digital Education as well as aligned teams and academic departments from across the institution to support and promote our existing online courses. They will additionally be engaged in promotion of platforms, services, and learning design approaches in order to identify new opportunities for online learning across an exciting variety of disciplines and course contexts
Requirements: The successful candidate will be an experienced learning technologist (or similar) with a practical understanding of and enthusiasm for online education; They should possess expert technical and pedagogic knowledge, be highly proactive and organised, and continuously demonstrate strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. They should be able to swiftly apply their knowledge to their direct interactions with academic staff and as part of project work with members of the Online Learning and wider Digital Education teams
