Preferred Applicants seeking to bring chemical approaches to bear upon impactful problems at the interface of chemistry, biology and medicine are especially encouraged to apply. Postdoctoral training in a relevant field is preferred. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is in the College of Arts and Sciences at Florida State University. The department is consistently ranked in the top 50 schools in the nation, and the organic chemistry program is well known as one of the top in the nation. The environment is highly collaborative with faculty members who have intersecting research interests that include many aspects of basic and applied research. There are two chemistry buildings with ample space for research laboratories, in addition to machine, electronic, and glass shops. The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory is less that two miles from campus. Pay Plan This is a Faculty position. Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting.
