Duties: This is a full-time open ended post in the Windows Infrastructure Service Group (WIS), which provides excellent Windows server based infrastructure services to underpin ISDs Desktop, Print and related services. In addition to managing, the Windows Infrastructure Services WIS also owns the Managed Desktop and the UCL Data Safe Haven Services; The post holder will work within a small team to create, secure, and administer infrastructural Windows based technologies that underpin robust state-of-the art IT services for enterprise wide and smaller, specialised user communities that are both internal and external to the college, and operating within an ITIL service management framework
Requirements: The post holder will have demonstrable knowledge and practical experience of administering Windows based server operating systems in a service environment, with an ability to adapt to changing technologies. They will have an appreciation of the issues involved in the central management of large numbers of systems that are geographically distributed, and of the need for strict change management discipline
