Position: Actuarial Analyst
Institution: QBE Insurance Group Limited
Location: Sydney, New South Wales, United States
Duties: Perform end to end actuarial reserving exercises and assist with reporting deliverables; Perform analysis into key drivers of portfolio trends; Help deliver on the QBE strategy by collaborating with key stakeholders both within and outside of the actuarial function; Build, maintain and improve monitoring reports covering various aspects of the portfolio; Take initiative to recommend changes to actuarial assumptions and the reserving/pricing process; Be guided by the brightest minds in the industry as you develop your actuarial and professional skill set
Requirements: A university degree preferably in Actuarial Studies or with a strong mathematic component; Completion of all the Actuaries Institute Part 1 and Part 2 exams will be advantageous; Industry experience in General Insurance is preferred; Understanding the link between reserving, pricing and portfolio monitoring; Strong MS Excel skills. Experience in SAS programming is preferred; Ability to analyse, reconcile and extract data from several sources; Highly effective communication, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills
