Duties: We are recruiting a Departmental Manager (DM), for STEaPP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy). This role involves managing the operational infrastructure of the department to support teaching, research, administration, and other departmental activities, through assuming responsibility for general and specific duties to progress the work of the Department and the wider institution; The main of the post are: Strategic Development and Planning; Operational Management and Services; Human Resources/Staff Management; Finance/Resource Management; Research Services and Teaching Support Services
Requirements: We are looking for someone who has a record of successful line management and development of staff with proven team leadership and motivational skills; You will also need excellent financial skills (financial management systems, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis), with demonstrable experience of effective budgetary management and control; You must have a commitment to UCLs policy of equal opportunities and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds
