Duties: As a Strategic Philanthropy Manager, you build highly strategic relationships with a diverse range of partners in order to raise income at the seven and eight figure level from individual philanthropists, family trusts, foundations and corporate supporters to support our Institutional priority projects. You will play a critical role in connecting UCL’s senior academic community and OVPA’s leadership team with philanthropists in the UK and overseas and will undertake frequent travel on behalf of, and alongside, the University’s senior leadership team, in line with FCO’s guidance on travel
Requirements: The successful candidate will have significant fundraising or business development experience with a proven track record of securing income and investment at the seven and eight figure level and a passion for securing new business. You will excel in working within a results-oriented environment and bring demonstrable experience of managing a complex set of relationships with high net worth individuals and stakeholders across wide ranging organisations. In September 2016 UCL launched Its All Academic, one of Europes most ambitious Philanthropy and Engagement Campaigns, aiming to raise £600m and 250,000 volunteer hours. The next academic year will be pivotal as we approach the end of the Campaign and the transition of President & Provost in early 2021. As a Strategic Philanthropy Manager, you build highly strategic relationships with a diverse range of partners in order to raise income at the seven and eight figure level from individual philanthropists, family trusts, foundations and corporate supporters to support our Institutional priority projects. You will play a critical role in connecting UCLs senior academic community and OVPAs leadership team with philanthropists in the UK and overseas and will undertake frequent travel on behalf of, and alongside, the Universitys senior leadership team, in line with FCOs guidance on travel. Please note this position is a fixed-term contract for 9 months to cover maternity leave. It can also be offered as a secondment to UCL employees.
