Position: Underwriter/Structurer Retroactive Reinsurance

Duties: Underwriting, structuring and pricing retroactive reinsurance solutions for all non-life lines of business and worldwide markets, either as a deal team manager or deal team member; Being the competency lead for single transactions, participation in Due Diligences, technical guidance for Structurers and Junior Structurers; Developing innovative product and pricing solutions for new retroactive reinsurance concepts (e.g. individual policy pricing, IFRS17 optimized structures, artificial-intelligence-supported products, etc.); Translating reinsurance structures into wordings and negotiation of wordings with the client in a team approach; Developing and maintaining retroactive reinsurance standard wordings; Supporting actuarial assessments of claims reserves and expected volatilities; Supporting the acquisition of new business as well as developing and extending strategies for new clients, markets, and distribution channels; Supporting strategic projects and initiatives as well as giving internal and external technical presentations
Requirements: University degree with high marks, with an economic, mathematical or legal focus; Experience in underwriting and/or structuring of complex reinsurance programs, including long-tail exposures; Ownership and good balance between hunger for business and risk awareness; Deep knowledge of international regulatory standards, selected capital models, and methodologies used by rating agencies to rate insurance companies would be advantageous; Very strong personal, cooperation and communication skills; Excellent presentation skills; Fluent spoken and written business English; other languages such as German, Spanish or French are desirable; Willingness to travel on business (worldwide) as required

The team you will strengthen through your work deals mainly with large-volume, one-off transactions to help clients actively manage their risk and capital position. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Structurer with a strong finance or quantitative background.
