Position: Head of IOE Research IT

Duties: The Research IT Services department develops, delivers and operates a range of computational and data services to support UCLs research community; The Head of IOE Research IT leads a range of computationally-intensive research activities across the ~40 research units of the IOE, UCLs world leading educational institute. This includes close interworking with those research groups to delivery world-class research, as well as leadership and co-ordination for Information Governance for the IOE and its associated projects
Requirements: The applicant should demonstrate evidence of delivering world-leading IT services, or infrastructure, to meet research demands. A successful track record in project and people management, as well as knowledge and experience of secure computing environments and data governance (eg ISO27001) is key to this role. The appointee will be responsible for developing and overseeing UCLs data safe haven and similar platforms. The postholder is expected to hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
