Position: Program Lead Global Health Translational Ecosystems

Duties: In the role as Program Lead, you will build-up and lead a new public-private partnership, in the form of a Center of Excellence. The Center is a brand-new co-creation initiative between multiple public and private stakeholders in the field of digitally enabled public health. Its main goal is to strengthen health systems and access to medicine, focusing on low & middle-income countries (LMIC), by fostering translational ecosystems (from science to implementation) and by identifying, implementing, managing, and successfully deploying specific projects; First specific projects focus on a logistics management information system, on a digital solution for tracking epidemiological outbreaks, and on a challenge-based collaboration project involving diverse innovation hubs in Africa; Your task will be to establish the Center as a nimble, impactful and globally recognized role model with digital solutions to impact access to medicine in LMICs; You will work under the guidance of the Innovation Office, with full project responsibility and in close collaboration with the Vice President for Research, several project partners, including both public and private institutions
Requirements: We are looking for a candidate who dreams big, and acts with a pronounced ability to navigate between, and manage different expectations and cultures from a wide range of stakeholders (i.e. public institutions, foundations, large and small companies, startups, local communities); In a context of LMICs (preferably Africa; South- & Southeast Asia and South America additionally), you have an advanced understanding about the needs in public health, health information, and health systems, and of the digital tools to tackle them; You are a builder of ecosystems, bringing together public and private organizations active in the field of digital health, access to medicine, global public health, digital platforms. You are able to identify and on-board new program partners with different roles (i.e. solution providers, solution seekers, funding institutions, implementation and deployment partners in LMICs), thereby reaching the enormous potential of our Center of Excellence and ensuring its sustainability; The capability to fluently communicate in English with multiple different stakeholders and cultures is a must. The knowledge of German, French & additional languages spoken in LMICs (focus on Africa) is a plus
