Position: PhD scholarships in Functional Materials and X-Ray Diffraction Imaging

The positions focus on: Electromechanical interactions between ferroelectric/ferroelastic domain walls and lattice defects (e.g. dislocations and grain boundaries). The accumulation and ordering of chemical defects in the presence of structural heterogeneity and external fields. The emergence and dynamics of polar disorder in ferroelectric oxides. The projects involve close collaboration with theoretical and experimental groups, both within DTU and international. Regular travel to international synchrotron facilities is anticipated. Approval and Enrolment The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU.
