Duties: This is a new position in the UCL Cancer Institute to provide technical support to the Cell Signalling group to enable members to carry out efficiently their research projects; The post holder will assist in experimental procedures related to disease modelling in gene-targeted or drug-treated mice. This will involve a mix of lab-based experiments (cell-based studies, tissue culture, biochemistry, cell biology) and mouse based-experimentation (including husbandry, stock-taking, tissue sampling, and monitoring animal general health and welfare); The Postholder will also help to maintain laboratory stocks, ordering and receiving goods
Requirements: Applicants must have a BSc or equivalent experience in the life sciences field; Key aspects include experience in cellular and biochemical techniques and basic experience of caring for and performing basic technical procedures on mice; Applicants are expected to have excellent time management and communication skills
