Position: Data Scientist/Computer Scientist/Epidemiologist (m/f/d)

Requirements: University degree (MSc or equivalent, PhD) in medical informatics, bioinformatics, computer science, mathematics or university degree (Diploma, MSc., PhD) in adjacent fields with extensive methodological expertise in data and quality management of epidemiological or clinical studies; Excellent programming skills in at least one programming language (R, Stata, Python, JAVA); Experience in dealing with biomedical standards and data models such as FHIR (HL7), LOINC, CDISC are an advantage; Very good spoken and written English skills

With 21 clinics/polyclinics, 19 institutes and further central facilities the University Medicine Greifswald performs its duties as maximum care hospital. The Institute for Community Medicine at the University Medicine Greifswald runs several large-scale epidemiological studies, including the Study of Health in Pomerania (SHIP) and the German National Cohort (GNC). As part of the upcoming national and interdisciplinary research project "National Research Data Infrastructure for Personal Health Data (NFDI4Health)“ the UMG will contribute to the development and implementation of standards and IT infrastructure for clinical and epidemiological studies. We are strongly dedicated to reproducible and FAIR research. We are looking for a scientist (m/f/d) with a strong background in medical informatics, research methods and data analysis to expand our scientific team with a Data scientist / Computer scientist /Epidemiologist (m/f/d) The position shall be either part-time or full-time subject to the available volume of third-party funds, for a fixed-term of up to five years (according to the German Act of Academic Fixed-Term Contract) with the option for subsequent renewal. Home office options are possible.
