Our Center for Vision, Automation and Control in Vienna invites applications for a: Master Thesis „Industrial Robotic Frameworks” Vision, Automation & Control Autonomous systems comprise a complex set of various technological components. Research is based on powerful robotic frameworks. You will work with multiple state-of-the-art robotic frameworks. You will get hands-on experience with hardware, sensors and algorithms for autonomous robots. You will obtain an overview of common robotic frameworks (ROS, ROS2, ROS Industrial, Isaac, ...) with focus on industrial requirements. You will Implement and test a navigation stack for autonomous systems on a sample robot. Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner* : Enrolled as a master student in computer science, software engineering, information and computer engineering, mathematics or similar Background knowledge and interest in autonomous systems and robotics Strong self-motivation and curiosity for solving challenging robotic problems Good knowledge and experience in Linux, C++, Python, ROS What to expect: At least € 779,-- gross for 20 hours/week based on the collective agreement (Forschungs‐KV). The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. There will be additional company benefits!
