Position: Academic Program Coordinator

Duties: This position manages day-to-day operations for undergraduate Nursing Student Services and is responsible to ensure academic advising is available to current and prospective students in the program; for coordinating recruitment and retention initiatives and expenses; and processing student related functions such as transfer credit, academic action, program audits, and summaries for ADNP and Upper Year applicants for Faculty selection. This position oversees the registration of students, tracking of progress for statistical and program management purposes, oversees student accommodation/invigilation/appeals, represents nursing on URAAP and Enrolment Strategies committees, and monitors the Student Services budget. This position also contributes to program and policy changes that affect the program, and problem solves scheduling, registration and/or program issues. Significant interaction with program partners is required. Other duties as assigned
Requirements: Undergraduate degree combined with a minimum of three years’ experience directly related to the required duties. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered; Demonstrated knowledge of office practices, principles and procedures; Experience in supervising staff; Excellent organizational skills including a proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, prioritize work and accomplish tasks on-time; Exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills; Exceptional written and oral communication skills in order to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, partners, students and the community; Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate methods to deal with confidential material; Understanding of the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) principles as they relate to recruitment and retention; Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Proficiency in statistical reporting

CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Staff Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary The Faculty of Nursing in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, currently offers two undergraduate programs - the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) and the SCBScN After Degree Nursing Program (ADNP), with a total intake of approximately 350 students each fall. The SCBScN program is currently offered in Regina, and Saskatoon; the ADNP in Regina only. Since the Fall, 2017 the SCBScN program at the Swift Current and North Battleford sites are offered in an alternate format where students attend those sites only in their 4th year. Physical Demands none Pay Grade APT 4 Salary Range $60,172 - $81,196 Status Permanent Work Hours 8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with occasional work required outside normal working hours for special events.
