Position: Lecturer specializing in Geographic Information Science

Duties: The Department of Geography at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a Lecturer specializing in Geographic Information Science, preferably with an urban focus. This is a one-year appointment, renewable on the basis of positive performance, department needs, and budgetary allowance. Primary responsibilities include teaching introductory GIS, and Urban Studies. Other teaching possibilities include introductory remote sensing, geovisualization, spatial data analysis, and introductory and advanced urban geography. The successful applicant should complement and support our undergraduate degrees in Geography, Urban Studies, Sustainability Studies, and Environmental Science
Requirements: The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. completed by August 15, 2020, should demonstrate a solid record as an effective classroom teacher and a teaching philosophy helping to ensure success in the classroom
