Duties: The Department of Mechanical Engineering is hiring a Communications, Marketing and Events Officer. The postholder will play a key role in overseeing the communications and marketing strategies and activities of the department in line with those of the faculty and UCL as a whole
Requirements: The successful candidate will be educated to A level standard (Grade C or above) or have acquired relevant experience in terms of writing and analysis. They should have up-to-date knowledge of social media channels and developments and have a working knowledge of Content Management Systems; The ideal candidate will have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicated and tailor content effectively to different formats and audiences and have strong organisational skills, time management and project management skills, including the ability to work effectively on numerous group and individual projects simultaneously

The post will be a full-time and permanent role. The postholder will play a key role in overseeing the communications and marketing strategies and activities of the department in line with those of the faculty and UCL as a whole. Reporting to the Communications, Marketing and Events Manager, the postholder will either lead or support in areas including, but not limited to designing and producing marketing literature (brochures, flyers, posters etc.); web communications (website, e-newsletters, social media posts, mailing lists etc.); brand and visual identity management; and event coordination.
