Position: IT Manager

Duties: Your main responsibility will be to maintain and further develop the DHRTC IT security and data management IT systems in close cooperation with the central IT function in DTU as well as to implement an information system across the DHRTC partnership to ensure effective data sharing and handling. Moreover, the IT Manager will take on the responsibility to develop and implement a digitalization framework for the centre, including a collaboration platform in the network and digitalization of research and innovation processes. This requires a good understanding of IT systems, data risks, security and encryption, and working with complex IT processes. Due to the sensitivity of the data, knowledge of industry standard security protocols is required. Moreover, experience with digitalization of processes including the related knowledge of relevant IT systems is desirable. The job of a data manager requires strong project management skills, good business acumen as well as strong skills to navigate in a complex environment
Requirements: You have excellent overview, presentation and coordination skills. In addition, proficiency in English, strong cooperation, and analytical skills are a necessity. You are capable of working independently, take on responsibility and show initiative. We expect you to be able to oversee several tasks simultaneously without compromising the quality of your work and that you remain in a constructive and positive mindset, also when working at a high pace. Furthermore, we expect that our new IT Manager: Knows how to implement digitalization initiatives; Knows how to work with relevant IT standards; Has a broad knowledge of relevant software companies and their products; Ensures the centre’s IT operation with high security standards; Contributes to the data deliverables during the start-up, running, and closure of DHRTC main research programs; Has strong people skills as a basis for ensuring it-security and system implementation initiatives; You have a M.Sc. or equivalent within IT, natural sciences or other relevant degree. Relevant experience with data security management, IT system implementation, digitalization and collaboration platforms is preferred

Danish Centre for Hydrocarbon Research and Technology (DHRTC) DHRTC was established in 2014 by DTU and the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC), a joint venture between Total E&P Denmark, Noreco and Nordsøfonden. DHRTC is an active partnership of five universities and research institutions: The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Aalborg University (AAU), Aarhus University (AU), Copenhagen University (KU) and the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS). The Centre has received a grant of DKK 1 billion for a 10-year period from DUC. As part of the National Strategy on Oil and Gas, the Centre delivers an ambitious and targeted effort to improve oil and gas production in terms of increased recovery, improved cost efficiency and reduced environmental footprint of the oil and gas production in the Danish North Sea. The Centre operates in close collaboration with energy companies and research institutions in Denmark and internationally. The Centre aims at stimulating cross-disciplinary research collaboration where insight in existing fields and technologies meets new knowledge and innovation. The project portfolio currently counts eight research programmes with nearly 200 ongoing projects and an annual budget of some 100 mio. DKK. Access to industry data from the oil and gas operations during the past nearly 60 years constitutes an important asset for the centre. DHRTC has therefore established IT systems and processes to be able to coordinate the management of data, including confidential and sensitive information. The unique network structure of the centre and its innovation process are considered key to the success of DHRTC. Continuous focus on effectiveness and collaboration has put digitalization of the different processes in focus and DHRTC has begun initiatives in this area. The role As IT manager you will be an important member of the DHRTC administrative team. You will refer to the Head of Administration - and cooperate closely with the centre’s researchers, programme managers, as well as data managers from private companies and partner universities.
