Position: Postdoctoral researcher in Digital History

Duties: The Digital History Advanced Research Projects Accelerator (DHARPA) at C 2 DH is looking to hire a postdoctoral researcher as part of a research project sponsored by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR). The postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Professor Sean Takats and join a team that already includes two other postdoctoral researchers, a software developer, and an administrative assistant, and which collaborates with the larger C²DH research center. In 2020 this team of five will grow to twelve, and with them you will help to develop a new software platform for historical research, in coordination with your own research program
Requirements: PhD in history or a related field; Passionate about using technology to conduct historical research; Experience in coordinating (digital) history projects; Willingness to cooperate actively in other C²DH projects; Experience with Python, Javascript, R, and/or data visualization will be advantageous; Experience with grant writing will be a plus; Good command of the following languages: English, French and/or German
