Position: Post-doctoral position in Epigenetic and cellular signaling in cancer
Institution: Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives
Department: Institute for Advance Biosciences
Location: Grenoble, France
Duties: Research topic: "Epigenetic and cellular signaling in cancer; lysine methylation-based signaling". Our focus is to identify new lysine methylation signaling and its implication in cancer, through the identification of novel substrates of lysine methyltransferases involved in tumorigenesis. The proposed project will aim to characterize methylation events of new substrates already identified and validated in the lab
Requirements: Candidates must be highly motivated and have a PhD in biological science, with or without previous postdoctoral experience. Strong knowledge of molecular and cellular biology with hands-on experience is required. Prior experience in epigenetic and/or cell signaling is highly valued. Ability to work independently and good communication skills are required. French speaking is NOT a requirement

Text: Post-doctoral position in Epigenetic and cellular signaling in cancer Post-doctoral position - IAB, Grenoble. 2 years funded position with possibility of extension. Research topic: Epigenetic and cellular signaling in cancer; lysine methylation-based signaling. Profile Candidates must be highly motivated and have a PhD in biological science, with or without previous postdoctoral experience. Strong knowledge of molecular and cellular biology with hands-on experience is required. Prior experience in epigenetic and/or cell signaling is highly valued. Ability to work independently and good communication skills are required. French speaking is NOT a requirement. Application Please send your application including a complete curriculum vitae and at least name of two referees to nicolas.reynoird@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr before May 1st 2020. Preferable start: June 2020. About the team and working project The group “lysine methylation-based cellular signaling in cancer” is directed by Dr Nicolas REYNOIRD, who will be the supervisor of this postdoctoral project. This group is part of the lab “Tumor Molecular Pathologies and Biomarkers” working on different cellular signaling topics, and located at the Institute for Advance Biosciences, Grenoble, France (https://iab.univ-grenoble-alpes.fr/?language=en). Our focus is to identify new lysine methylation signaling and its implication in cancer, through the identification of novel substrates of lysine methyltransferases involved in tumorigenesis. The proposed project will aim to characterize methylation events of new substrates already identified and validated in the lab. This work is a collaborative project with Dr Kadlec labs, expert in structural biology at the IBS, Grenoble (another 2y postdoc position in structural biology is offered in parallel in his lab: jan.kadlec@ibs.fr), and both postdocs will work together on different aspects of the project.
