The Department of Political Science seeks to recruit a career-track Teaching Fellow in Political Science & Public Policy. The Fellow will provide leadership on the Departments undergraduate programes, design and deliver innovative BSc and postgraduate courses, and take on other strategic teaching and education roles in the Department. This is a open ended position, subject to a two-year probationary period. The position is ideal for candidates with a keen interest in developing their university career with a focus on education, including pedagogical innovation and research-led teaching. As a career track position, it comes with opportunities for progression to Senior, Principal and Professorial Teaching Fellow positions, as set out in UCLs Academic Career Framework. We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrable commitment to high quality, inclusive, research-based education who will contribute to the department's overall approach to teaching and learning through developing ideas, conducting pedagogical research, disseminating good practice, and supporting and mentoring others. While we are especially interested in candidates who can teach modules in public policy (including, introductory public policy modules, applied policy skills modules and a module in a specific policy area, such as climate and environmental policy, health policy, innovation and technology policy or education policy, for instance), we welcome applications from candidates with excellent teaching records from all subdisciplines of political science. The post will commence on the 1st September 2020.
