Duties: Applications are invited for a Professor of Medical Statistics from individuals with an exceptional international research profile in relation to career stage. We are seeking a candidate with an established track record in grant funding and high quality publications whose research agenda will attract broad-ranging high level collaborations within the wide community of UCL and beyond, and thereby strengthen UCL's reputation internationally as a leader in the field; The post-holder will be expectedto provide world-leading statistical support to the Department of Imaging in particular and to the wider Division of Medicine in general where applicable
Requirements: The candidate will have proven ability to carry out high quality original research as well as an excellent track record of high-impact peer reviewed publications and research funding in relation to career stage and will contribute to all aspect of the academic life of the Division, the Faculty and the College; Candidates should also be able to show demonstrable leadership in their research field, reflected by major publications, invited papers at international conferences and awards; Exceptional candidates will have a continuing record of attracting external funding to support research activity, and a clear vision for the potential impact of their research; Candidates must also have an outstanding international research profile, with a continuing track record of extensive high quality publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conferences, and a continuing track record of external research grant funding; Experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as knowledge and understanding of the principles of resource and budgetary Management, would also be desirable for appointment at this level

The post will pivot around study design, statistical analysis planning, and the delivery of these analyses for diagnostic and prognostic studies. In particular, the Department enjoys multiple collaborations with others within the Division of Medicine and beyond, including beyond UCL, so that there are currently multiple funded research programs that require class-leading statistical advice at design and execution levels.
