Text: UOL03152 31-Dec-2099 Company Text The University of Luxembourg invites applications for the following position within the Department of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences for a: Research and Development Specialist in Social Sciences (m/f) Ref: 50012237 Fixed-term contract (48 months) Full time (40 hrs/week) Preferably as from 1 June 2020 Employee status The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis of the 2019 Youth Survey Luxembourg and prepare the next wave of data collection in 2023/24. This representative large-scale survey of 16 to 29 years old in Luxembourg covers a range of social and economic topics and is highly relevant to researchers and policy makers. The main tasks of the Research (and Development) Specialist will be to contribute to the Luxembourgish Youth Report, to engage in policy-relevant analysis and knowledge exchange with stakeholders, and to contribute to scientific publications. A focus of this position is on communicating results, e.g., using data visualization, short reports, and blog entries. The successful candidate will join the group on “Youth Research” within the Department of Social Science’s Centre for Childhood and Youth Research (CCY) , directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Robin Samuel. The CCY comprises a multidisciplinary research team that examines the conditions and opportunity structures of growing up against the backdrop of social change and inequalities.
