Prophet and ALM Analyst Full time | Fen Associates | Ireland Posted On 23/01/2020 Job Description I am working with a client who is looking for a Prophet and ALM Actuarial Analyst. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prophet General Administration Maintain the control environment around Prophet - ensure Evolutions requests are received, release notes are prepared, and checks carried out on all Prophet releases. Vega/BFC Oversee the testing of patches to Vega; Suggest improvements in the Vega for QIS/ORSA purposes Prophet PPI Model/ Finaref RD Model/ORSA Model Assess and implement model evolutions requested by counterparties; Perform appropriate model testing; Keep up to date documentation on model and its parameterisation; Assist in developing strategies to minimize run time while maintaining the accuracy of the model; Implement improvements as suggested by audit/external actuaries; Assist Audit/Actuarial Function in their review of the model by providing all necessary data; Contribute to presentation to Model committees. Solvency II Assets Valuation and ALM Reporting Perform calculation and prepare slides with commentaries for quarterly ALM reporting to Group to explain variations in assets mix and key indicators; Perform projections on assets side for Solvency II quarterly valuations and for ORSA and Budget (including stress scenarios); Perform regular stress tests on Assets for Group; Maintain the ALM model; Keep up to date documentation on model; Assist Audit/Actuarial Function in their review of the model by providing all necessary data. IFRS 17 Project Assist in the development of the most appropriate and efficient solutions for the implementations of IFRS 17; Integrate and define as necessary the tools to perform the calculations e.g. CSM and Risk Adjustment; Upgrade our current Prophet model to calculate the Best Estimate Liabilities on an IFRS basis and find solutions to optimize run-time given the additional data constraints; Test Group tools and adapt for company's individual needs; Test the impacts of the implementation for presentation to Management; Assist in designing the output formats. Support Actuarial Modelling Teams Provide support to the Modelling teams and the Underwriting team during the time of the Budget by answering questions on Prophet and assisting the setting up of runs to optimise run times. SAS Reserving Tools Maintain the reserving tools set up for the French portfolio; Keep up to date documentation on tools. External relations Develop good relationships with IT, Project, Administration & Operations, Finance and Business Development Departments; With corporate clients and Third Party Administrators (TPA); Liaise closely with the Actuarial Modelling teams. Requirements Experience and qualification: Qualification: Actuarial qualification (part-qualified) or Qualified.
