Apply online DTU Chemical Engineering seeks qualified candidates for a number of vacant PhD positions within core research areas of chemical and biochemical engineering, such as: High temperature processes Reaction engineering and Catalysis Coating science and technology including polymers Bio-based processes Process system engineering Sustainable development will be in focus across the PhD projects, and some projects will deal with the further development of digital tools and methods connected to chemical and biochemical engineering. Responsibilities and tasks The positions includes normal DTU PhD positions where the work will be carried out primarily at DTU, but also PhD positions that are a part of the Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research (SDC). The candidates for the SDC positions will stay in China for 6-12 months to support our MSc education in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering in SDC and to carry out research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Knowledge of Danish is highly beneficial for the SDC positions and those positions cannot be applied for by Chinese citizens. Positions and research areas of interests must be stated in the application. Qualifications Candidates for the PhD positions should have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree. Approval and Enrolment The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU. Salary and appointment terms The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
