Position: Postdoctoral Researcher (f/m/d) - Microwave Sensing and Nanoscopy

Duties: You strengthen the lab‘s research and teaching activities in microwave engineering and near-field microwave microscopy. You are engaged in research on analytical methods for quantitative characterization of targets and DUT‘s by applying high-fre-quency electromagnetic waves. You are involved in cross-disciplinary research in the fields of nanoelectronics and biological applications, in cooperation with partners from research and industry
Requirements: PhD degree in electronical engineering or physics with excellent communication skills, and willingness to work both independently and with our interdisciplinary research team; Strong background in micro-/millimetre-wave technologies, radiometers, and/or radar; Knowledge of RF/microwave EDA tools such as HFSS/CST and hands-on experience in high frequency layout design and experimental characterization is highly desirable; Experience in scanning probe and electron microscopy techniques and/or a background in semiconductor physics is desirable; Excellent command of English (spoken and written), German language skills are desirable
   
Text: RESEARCH FOCUS OF THE LAB:The lab‘s research area is on microrobotic and automated nanosystems including the work on control, planning and handling strategies. One main topic is sensing, imaging and characterizing of micro- and nanoscaled objects with microwaves by utilizing innovative nanorobotic systems and methods. YOUR FOCUS:You strengthen the lab‘s research and teaching activities in microwave engineering and near-field microwave microscopy.
