Duties: You will coordinate and administer the provision of high-quality, effective and efficient Human Resources support and services within the School, including staff recruitment, induction, appraisal, development and progression amongst other things, which meets the local needs of SSEES’s diverse staff community, and to act as the School’s principal liaison point with UCL Human Resources as to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and practices across the School
Requirements: In order to carry out the duties effectively the person appointed will be educated to A levels or have equivalent qualifications. It would be expected that the appointed person will have significant experience of working in a Human Resources role; Having prior experience of supporting and coordinating staff recruitment and supporting and contributing to the development of HR policies and procedures are essential; You will have excellent organisation skills, including the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and prioritising work effectively. Being able to deal with people in a calm and constructive manner with tact, discretion and confidentiality and diplomacy are also essential; Having excellent written and verbal communication skills together with the ability to problem-solve is also a requirement for the post; Being proficient with IT skills including Microsoft word and excel and outlook are essential as well as having experience and knowledge of using corporate HR systems, in particular Oracle based systems
   
Text: Human Resources Officer, - Ref:1838615 Click here to go back to search results Apply Now UCL Department / Division School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) Location of position London Grade 7 Hours Full Time Salary (inclusive of London allowance) £35.965 - £43,470 per annum Duties and Responsibilities The School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES) is seeking to recruit a dedicated Human Resources professional, who will play a key role in supporting the delivery and operation of all aspects of the Schools Human Resources policies, procedures and operations, supporting both academic and professional service colleagues. This post is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Human Resources professional who enjoys working closely with academics and external stakeholders to develop a rewarding career in Higher Education. You will coordinate and administer the provision of high-quality, effective and efficient Human Resources support and services within the School, including staff recruitment, induction, appraisal, development and progression amongst other things, which meets the local needs of SSEESs diverse staff community, and to act as the Schools principal liaison point with UCL Human Resources as to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and practices across the School. You will be expected to provide advice and support to the Director and Assistant Director as to the development and implementation of the School HR policies and procedures and administer the selection and recruitment of new staff to the School. Additionally, you will administer, process and monitor honorary, visiting and affiliate associations with the school and oversee and coordinate the induction and 'on-boarding' of new staff.
