Position: Assistant/Associate Professor in Mathematics

Duties: The duties of the post fall within DCU’s Academic Development and Promotions Framework and the principles ofthe School’s Academic Workload Model with activity across the domains of teaching, research and administration and are in line with DCU’s strategic plan “Talent, Discovery and transformation: 2017-2022”
Requirements: Applicants in Probability, Statistics, and Financial Mathematics must hold a PhD in Mathematics or a closely related area. Applicants in Actuarial Mathematics must have the corresponding profession qualification (e.g. Fellowship ofthe Institute and Faculty of Actuaries) and appropriate professional experience, and preferably hold a PhD in a related area. They must have a record of original research supported by publications in top international journals or, depending on career stage, show exceptional promise in this regard. They should also have experience of teaching Mathematics effectively at university level. Applicants to the Associate Professor level must have a record of attracting external research funding
