Applicants will be considered for the following sources of PhD funding: - Up to 7 Teaching Assistantships - Up to 2 EPSRC DTP Studentships - Up to 1 EPSRC Case Studentship. Please note: 2 EPSRC DTP Studentships and 1 EPSRC Case Studnetship are subject to funding. Details of each type of funding can be found below. Successful candidates will be admitted to the MPhil/PhD programme in Mathematics. Studentship Description The Teaching Assistantships last for four years and will cover tuition fees at Home/EU rate plus a stipend of approximately £17,432, per annum based on the standard EPSRC rate. Teaching Assistants will spend up to 25% of their time teaching and the rest devoted to research towards their PhD. EPSRC funding will cover tuition fees at Home/EU rate plus a stipend of £17,432 , per annum based on the standard EPSRC rate. This will be tenable for four years. Person Specification Applicants should possess a good honours degree (1st Class or 2:1 minimum) in mathematics, or an equivalent qualification from other countries.
