Position: Postdoc (Research Associate) in (applied) mathematics, machine learning, systems biology (m/f)
Institution: University of Luxembourg
Location: Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
Duties: The Systems Control Group seeks a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow (Research Associate). The project aims to develop mathematical tools to model continuous-time nonlinear dynamical systems from population snapshot data produced by state-of-the-art single-cell sequencing techniques. It will also include application of these tools to model real biological data to generate new testable hypotheses. The Postdoctoral Fellow is also expected to work together with experimental biologists and to help with grant writing
Requirements: You hold a Ph.D. degree in (applied) mathematics, physics, or engineering. You have a good understanding of mathematical modelling, differential equations, and statistical methods. You have good skills on working with large datasets. Candidates are expected to develop and apply mathematical tools and to be proficient in scientific computing (Matlab, R, Python).
