This is for a Wellcome Trust funded research project that focuses on developing and applying machine learning models to investigate complex relationships between multimodal neuroimaging data and multidimensional descriptions of mental health disorders. The post-holder will be responsible for: Developing and updating new versions of the Pattern Recognition for Neuroimaging Toolbox Developing and implementing novel machine learning models to combine data from different neuroimaging techniques and non-imaging information for diagnosis and prognosis of mental health disorders. Integrating models developed by the Machine Learning and Neuroimaging group into the PRoNTo. Validating the developed/implemented models using variety of data sets.egrating models developed by the Machine Learning and Neuroimaging group into the PRoNTo. The funding for this post is for 12 months in the first instance. Key Requirements A first degree in a subject with a strong engineering, computer science or mathematics/statistics component, is essential. Candidates must have experience in software development and machine learning. Previous experience in neuroimaging data analysis is desirable. A track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and/or conference papers is also desirable. Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at research assistant Grade 6B (salary £31,479 - £33,194 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.
