Position: Wellcome Trust Clinical Training Fellow (PhD Programme for Clinicians)

Duties: UCL is one of the worlds most prestigious research-led universities, ranked 7th in the world and 3rd in Europe (2016 QS World Rankings). The Wellcome Trust PhD Programme for Clinicians will support the most promising medically qualified clinicians who wish to undertake rigorous research training, leading to the award of a PhD; Fellows will be fully funded in the first instance for three years full-time will registered for a PhD at University College London; The posts are available from August 2020 and are funded for up to three years, in the first instance, depending on the programme of study chosen
Requirements: Applicants to this programme will be expected to show evidence of a keen interest in and aptitude for medical research with a long term career aim to pursue clinical academic research. You need to be a GMC-registered clinician. You can be at any stage of your training; although some applicants will have commenced their specialist training this is not essential; Applicants who have already finished their training and received a CCT are not eligible
