Duties: As Coordinator for the Washington Group on Disability Statistics Secretariat (70% of time) which is comprised of members in over 150 countries. Under the direction of Professor Groce, the post holder will provide administrative support for year 5 of a major grant from the Australian government which underpins the work of the Secretariat. To provide administrative support (30% of time) as assistant to the Director of the Centre and support research staff within the Centre as needed
Requirements: We are seeking someone with a good general education to at least GCSE/A levels or NVQ Level II/III Administration. The successful applicant will be experienced in handling complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Must be able to work independently and prioritise work. Sound organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines on a range of concurrent projects while coordinating the work of colleagues from academia, government and the UN system. Strong all-round computer skills, experience in communications, including familiarity with website and website performance software, creating content for social media in a professional context. Skills and experience in writing and proofing/editing materials as well as previous experience of financial management including processing expenses and monitoring project milestones are all essential
