Position: Advisor to the Vice-Rector (m/f)

Duties: Research, advise on and coordinate actions in learning and teaching initiatives; Identify good practices and translate into recommendations for governance structures as well as procedures and processes related to learning and teaching and student administration; Contribute to coordination of committees and/or working groups of learning and teaching stakeholders across the University and from key external agencies; Issue advice to the vice-rector at request or at own initiative and prepare decision proposals; Manage and contribute to the periodic and ad hoc production of reports, presentations and/or publications to internal and/or external stakeholders on strategic issues
Requirements: Master degree or equivalent in educational policy and/or management; Deep knowledge of the higher education sector essential; Proven track record in project management; Excellent knowledge of good communication practice, including management of messages and policies; Ability to analyse and use complex information desirable; Proficiency with modern office software, spread sheets and collaborative platforms; Experience with quality assurance activities in educational contexts preferred; Excellent interpersonal skills with a welcoming and service oriented attitude; Team oriented, diplomatic & able to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment; Open-minded, proactive, able to multi-task and able to work autonomously; Excellent command of French and English; German and/or Luxembourg is a plus

The University of Luxembourg invites applications for the following vacancy at the office of the vice-rector for academic affairs: Advisor to the Vice-Rector (m/f) Ref: AC-50009194 Permanent contract; full-time (40 hours/week) Employee status Mission Reporting to the new vice-rector of academic affairs, the advisor will give independent and active support to the vice-rector in strategic and operational issues. Together with the Vice-Rector, the advisor will develop and implement relevant strategies and measures and act as an important interface between internal and external entities.
