Position: Postdoctoral Researcher in Fluid Dynamics (M/F)

Duties: The successful candidate is expected to perform the following tasks: Investigating challenging issues related multi-phase flow, heat and mass transfer; Model development, validation and implementation in Lumped parameter codes, CFD Codes and Lattice Boltzmann Method Codes; Developing novel techniques/algorithms to address some of the identified critical issues; Disseminating results through scientific publications and conferences; Coordinating research projects and preparing project deliverables; Preparing new research proposals to attract industrial, national and European projects; Providing assistance in the supervision of PhD students
Requirements: A PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields; Sound publication track record in the areas related to experimental or computational fluid dynamics; Knowledge of one or multiple areas listed below is highly desirable: Multi Phase/Multi Component Flow Modelling; Multi Phase Heat Transfer Modelling; Multi Phase Instrumentation Technology; Experience with optimization and/or machine learning tools; Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python or C++ is a plus; Experience of working with industrial projects or public funded research projects related to resource management is highly desirable; Highly committed, excellent team-worker, and strong critical thinking skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Research projects typically carried out with industrial, governmental and international cooperation partners.
