Position: Head of Global Speciality Actuarial
Institution: Placement through Fenchurch Associates
Location: London, United Kingdom
Duties: This role is responsible for supporting and overseeing the delivery of underwriting performance, actuarial and risk management elements of the book of business in order to meet the Global Specialty International strategic objectives. The role will report dually to the Global Head of Specialty and UK, Europe & Global Specialty Chief Actuary. The individual will work closely with the business P&L’s, and other Global Specialty functions
Requirements: FIA, FCAS or strong actuarial background required; 15+ years P&C experience; Proven leadership, influencing and negotiation skills in a highly matrixed environment; able to resolve differences while maintaining positive working relationships; Strong people management and leadership capabilities; Senior level experience in actuarial, underwriting and financial analysis highly desired; Proactive individual, who challenges existing processes, can influence others and drive a process to a conclusion while meeting critical deadlines; Comfortable in working across teams and driving forward initiatives through developing personal networks and powerful and influential communication; Excellent written and verbal communication skills
